El Patio is a gem to Old Town Key West! My family had a wonderful time visiting. The rooms along with the exterior are very well kept and very clean. We loved the vintage art deco vibe as well. I would recommend to anyone planning to visit Key West. We plan to visit again soon.
Older motel in pretty good shape. Nice courtyard and rooftop lounge area. Beds are ok, shower head could be upgraded. Linens are plush. Rooms are good sized, but mine wasn't optimally appointed. No coffee maker. Affordable, as it relates to Key West prices.
For an older motel at such a great price, we were not expecting much. But we absolutely loved everything about this property! Old Key West charm in a very clean and comfortable room. To top it off, the staff was wonderful. We will be back!
El Patio was a nice place to stay. Close to all the southern island poi to. A bit of a walk to get to the Duvall St hot spots. We used Ubers to get around the island. Quick and cheap. The hotel was older, but well maintained. The pool was nice as well. Lots of parking. And bikes to rent if you want. But those dang roosters. Don't expect to sleep in.
We have stayed here on three different occasions in three different years. Yes, this is an old-school hotel building with all the charm of Key West. If you are looking for giant TVs and fancy coffee makers don’t come to Key West. You are supposed to be out of your room listening to great music and living the island life with a Cuban Coffee. What they do have is a great outdoor patio on the rooftop to unwind after a busy day on Duval and a fantastic staff. We camped on Dry Tortuga in the middle of our stay and they made several accommodations I am sure other hotels would not have. The staff is great and we recommend calling the property direct for the best service. We will be back to ElPatio, two big thumbs up!
Great location. The rooms are dated but very clean. Great interaction with the staff. I have stayed twice an will definitely come again. Recommend this Motel.
Honestly its not a bad place to stay. The room were clean bathroom was clean bed was comfortable. It cost around 13 dollars for Uber to Duvall Street. I would stay there again I love courtyard area. It was quiet also. No issues checking in or out.
For my wife and I life has sort of come full circle. We stayed at El Patio in May 1994. 2 months later our very close friends purchased a home in Key West. It’s no exaggeration that from 1994 to 2018, when they sold the home and went further tropical, we’d been to Key West easily 50 times with visits ranging from 5 days to 2 weeks. We wanted to just do a 2 night diversion from our 18 day stay in Stuart FL. Of course Key West accommodation prices are astronomical! I checked out El Patio reviews and prices and booked it. Let me say this place is simply a bargain if that’s possible in Key West. Yes all the less than 4 star reviews may have legitimate complaints. The rooms are dated I suppose for most folks however we felt they are retro/nostalgic! The room was clean, had a nice sized dorm sized fridge, decent size flat screen, small dining table with 2 chairs and the water pressure and hot water temperature were certainly beyond adequate. Honestly the only things we did was sleep and shower. You’re in Key West, get out and explore! I honestly don’t know what the negative reviewers expect at this price point. Certainly Casa Marina a block away blows away El Patio however you’re going to pay dearly for the amenities. For us El Patio represents the old time value that’s constantly going by the wayside in Key West. Thank you El Patio for the clean room, hot water and comfortable bed!
My family & I had a wonderful stay at El Patio. There are not many amenities but we weren't in Key West for those. The rooftop patio was really nice. Employees were really nice as well. We would definitely come back!
Adorable little motel. It was in a nice area - a short walk from all the interesting nightlife, but the street itself was quiet. I didn't end up swimming but the pool looked nice and clean. There is a rooftop deck which is a nice area to hang out during the daytime. If you are arriving for a late check-in they will give you the code to a lock box to receive your key.
